   Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African Americans Men was established December 4th, 1906, at Cornell University, in Ithaca New York. Black excellence at its finest representing the colors black and old gold. Men of Alpha take tremendous pride and joy in this fraternity. They take an oath and a pledge to uphold the principles of Alpha Phi Alpha at all times. The founders who are known as the seven jewels believed in 1906 that this fraternity would leave an impacting legacy throughout the entire world by promoting a more perfect union among college men; to aid in and insist upon the personal progress of its members; to further brotherly love and a fraternal spirit within the organization.
